These radio programmes are among Steve Coggan's first attempts to bring his Alan Partridge creation to life. In one sense, they are fresher than what was to come, and I feel these shows are funnier than when they transferred the chat show to TV. What is also so apparent is how talented are actresses Rebecca Front and Doon Mackichan, both so different in their comic creations. If you like Alan Patridge, you will find these CDs hilarious.
Cringe inducing and just plain laugh out loud, warped humour. There is only one Alan Partridge hopefully. These 6 original radio broadcasts involve fictional celebrity guests and an inept host. There is a bonus track which has a faux behind-the-scenes set-up. Alan Partridge is very much a Marmite personality. You either like him on toast or you prefer him in a sandwich.

Some good laughs there when I did hear properly but were spoilt because I had to relisten to portions to get the joke. So so so good. These extra words were forced on me because it needs 15 words, apparently. Alan Partridge started out on radio, and this release contains that ground breaking radio series.
Even after all these years, this has such currency for laughing out loud. As with many great BBC comedies it started on the radio. Incredibly talented support from Rebecca, Patrick, Doon and David. For me, these radio episodes remain superior to the TV version. Love Alan partridge this is just his show on audible form but if your a fan you will love it.
